In ESLint v8.53.0, scheduled to be released on Friday, November 3, 2023, we will formally deprecate our formatting rules. Formatting rules are those rules that simply enforce code conventions around spacing, semicolons, string formats, etc.

There’s a common misconception that if an experience is generally good, it deserves a 5-star review (or conversely, anything less than 5-stars means an experience was entirely negative).
The rating system has to depend on the product and services provided. We need to ensure that customers are told what the ratings represent. Each person may think 5 stars mean something different until you eliminate that ambiguity.
Review options then were “positive,” “neutral” or “negative,” and neutral ratings soon became perceived as negative. When reviews transitioned to the five-star system we now see across the Internet, consumers equated five stars with “positive,” using it for acceptable — not necessarily outstanding — services and products.
The main takeaway is this: be ready for change. I don't know exactly how things will change (this article is just some of my guesses), but I'm pretty confident that Agile in the Age of AI looks different from before. So take a step back, look carefully at how you work today, and start questioning everything.
